Contest Rules
All story entries must be in English and the story cannot exceed 10,000 words. Please submit your entry in a format compatible with Microsoft Word. Any stories that do not meet these criteria will be disqualified and will not be judged.
All poetry entries must be in English and the poem cannot exceed 1,000 words. Please submit your entry in a format compatible with Microsoft Word. Any poems that do not meet these criteria will be disqualified and will not be judged.
All photographic entries must contain 12 photographs. Please submit your portfolio in any format compatible with Microsoft Word. Any photographs that do not meet these criteria will be disqualified and will not be judged.
All video entries must be in English and the video must be at least 30 minutes and cannot exceed 60 minutes in length. Please submit your video on DVD and in a format compatible with consumer grade DVD players. Any videos that do not meet these criteria will be disqualified and will not be judged.
Purchases, fees, and payments will not increase your chances of winning. Your chances of winning depend solely on the score your story is awarded by a panel of judges from Lo City Enterprises, Inc.'s selection committee ("Judges") according to the criteria set forth below. Our contest is open to writers, photographers and videographers, amateur and professional, who meet the eligibility requirements set forth below.
If, for any reason, you cannot submit your story, poem or photographs (videos are already required to be submitted through the U.S. Mail) you may mail in your submission utilizing the mailing address listed below for submission of videos. The postmark on your submission will be used to verify that your entry met our guidelines for contest deadlines.
If, for any reason, you cannot process your payment(s) through PayPal you may mail in your payment(s) utilizing the mailing address listed below for submission of videos. All payments must be completed by Money Order or Cashiers Check and made out to the order of "Lo City Enterprises, Inc." The postmark on your payment will be used to verify that your entry met our guidelines for contest deadlines.

There must be at least two hundred fifty (250) contestants for each contest (stories, poetry and photos) and one hundred (100) contestants for the video contest in order for prizes to be awarded in the contest. If there are not two hundred fifty (250) contestants for the stories, poetry and photo contests and one hundred (100) contestants for the video contest all entries will be added to the following month's contest for judgment. This process with continue until there are two hundred fifty (250) stories, poetry or photo contestants and one hundred (100) video contestants. If you do not wish to have a story, poem, photographs and/or video judged with stories, poems, photographs and/or videos from subsequent months a contestant may request a refund of their entry fee. If a story doesn't win a prize but is still published in "Fallen Angel" the contestant will receive $100.00 for the use of their story. If a poem doesn't win a prize but is still posted in "Fallen Angel" the contestant will receive $25.00 for the use of the poem. If a photo portfolio does not win a prize but is still posted in "Fallen Angel" the contestant will receive $25.00 for the use of the photographs. If a video does not win a prize but is still posted in "Fallen Angel" the contestant will receive $200.00 for the use of the video.
All contests will be open until 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time the last day of the Contest month. The Contest month that the story, poem, photographs and videos are submitted for must be indicated on the entry form. Entries received late will not be accepted for competition with the exception of hard copy submissions which have been post marked within the time limit of the contest deadline. If the story, poem, photographs and videos do not arrive within the Contest deadline it will not be entered in the Contest and the entry fee will be forfeit. A contestant may submit their stories, poems, photographs and videos into a monthly contest any time prior to the contest deadline (i.e. you can submit a story for a June contest in January if you so desire.) Qualified entrants for the Annual Contest will have the rules, contest period and deadlines emailed to them.
Each story, poem, photographs and videos that you submit during the Contest Period will be given a careful viewing and those deemed to be suitable will be given a numeric rating for quality, originality, characterization, adherence to theme and sensuality by the Judges and this will allow your story, poem, photographs and videos to be ranked against stories, poems, photographs and videos submitted by others. For each story, poem, photographs and video submitted during the Contest Period, the Judges will review the stories, poems, photographs and videos by a total of the numerical ratings for that story, poem, photographs and video if it meets all of the eligibility requirements set forth in these Official Rules and that the Judges judge, in their sole discretion, as the best according to the Contest criteria. The first, second, third, fourth and fifth winners of each monthly contest are those that meet all of the eligibility requirements set forth in the Official Contest Rules and that the Judges judge, in their sole discretions, as the best according to the Judging Criteria. At the end of the Annual Contest Period, the Judges will review new submissions by the top 12 monthly first place winners. The newly submitted stories, poems, photographs and videos will be rated by the Judges for the Grand Prize Contest Period and they will select from those stories, poems, photographs and videos one story, poem, photographs and video ("Grand Prize Winner"), one story, poem, photographs and video ("Second Place Winner") and one story, poem, photographs and video ("Third Place Winner") that meet all of the eligibility requirements set forth in these Official Rules and that the Judges judge, in their sole discretion, as the best according to the Judging Criteria. No single story, poem, photographs or video can be a monthly contest winner more than once. An entrant who submits multiple eligible stories, poems, photographs and videos, however, can potentially win multiple prizes for those stories, poems, photographs and videos. The chance of having your stories, poems, photographs and videos selected as a Monthly Contest Winner Story, Poem, Photographs and Video, or the Annual Contest Winner Story, Poem, Photographs or Video depend on the ratings given to your story, poem, photographs and video and other entrants' stories, poems, photographs and videos by the quality of your story, poem, photographs and video and other contest entrants' stories, poems, photographs and videos , as judged by the Judges according to the Judging criteria.
Plagiarism will result in an artistic "death sentence" as the stories, poems, photographs and videos will not only be disqualified from the contest but the artist will be banished from competition in any future Lo City Enterprises, Inc. contests and any entry fees or guild membership fees will be forfeit. By entering a Lo City Enterprises, Inc. contest you are certifying that you are the creator of the story, poem, photographs and video and that it has appeared nowhere else in any form.
Entry fees for EROTICSTORIESCONTESTS.COM/.NET and EROTICSTORYCONTEST.COM/.NET contests are $25.00 per entry for non-guild members and $20.00 for guild members. There is no limit to how many times a contestant may enter a contest as long as each entry is different from others already submitted and that each submission pays the required and separate entry fee for each story entered.
Entry fees for EROTICPOETRYCONTESTS.COM/.NET contests are $15.00 per entry for non-guild members and $10.00 for guild members. There is no limit to how many times a contestant may enter a contest as long as each entry is different from others already submitted and that each poetic submission pays the required and separate entry fee for each separate poem entered.
Entry fees for EROTICPHOTOCONTESTS.COM/.NET contests are $15.00 per entry for non-guild members and $10.00 for guild members. Each contestant will submit 12 photos per entry and such submission will be called a portfolio. There is no limit to how many times a contestant may enter a contest as long as each portfolio entry is different from others already submitted and that each 12 photo portfolio pays the required and separate entry fee for each portfolio entered.

Simultaneous submission(s) of your story (stories) to contests or publishers other than Lo City Enterprises, Inc.'s websites is not allowed. Entries found to be published on other sites or in other publications will be treated as if the material was plagiarized.

Each winner of a first, second, third, fourth or fifth place Monthly Contest Prize; the winner of a first, second, third, fourth and fifth place Special Contest Prize and the winner of a first, second, third, fourth and fifth place Annual Contest Prize will be notified by email on or about 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time on the Friday after they win. Since review and judging of materials is a time consuming process this will be 120 days after the close of the monthly contest for which their entry was submitted. Each winner will be notified by electronic mail, using the email address that the author provides with the online registration. The name of each contest winner will be posted on all Lo City Enterprises, Inc. websites. Contest winners must respond to an award notification by email verifying current mailing address within 30 days after email notification is sent or they will forfeit their prizes. Contest winners who respond to the email notification in a timely and correct manner will receive prizes as follows: Monthly Contest Prize winners will be paid on or about the 15th day of the month following the month in which they responded to their Monthly Contest Prize email notification. Special Contest Prize winners will be paid on or about the 15th day of the month following the month in which they responded to their Special Contest Prize email notification. Annual Contest Prize winners will be paid on or about the 15th day of the month following the month in which they responded to their Annual Contest Prize email notification. All prizes will be paid in U.S. dollars and by company check. Lo City Enterprises, Inc. reserves the right to validate information provided on any online submission forms and to verify eligibility before awarding any prizes. If a prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Lo City Enterprises, Inc. reserves the right to award another prize of approximate equal value. No substitute prizes are allowed except at the sole discretion of Lo City Enterprises, Inc. Prizes are not transferable.
We retain all rights to any material submitted to Lo City Enterprises, Inc. websites, unless the creator is a member of our Erotic Contest Guild. For more information on the rights and benefits of Guild Membership please visit our Guild Membership webpage at this site. All entrants, by participating in these Contests and submitting stories, grant Lo City Enterprises, Inc. and any of Lo City Enterprises, Inc. successors and assigns the perpetual and irrevocable right, license, and ability to use and publish all submitted stories, poems, photographs, and videos (in the format submitted or in an altered format and in complete form or in excerpted form) on Lo City Enterprises, Inc. websites, on other websites, and in other media, for any purpose. Entrants' opportunity to submit their stories, poems, photographs and videos and participate in these Contests constitutes full consideration for the foregoing grant. The foregoing grant requires no further consideration and is not dependent on entrants' winning any prizes. Lo City Enterprises, Inc. can publish or decline to publish, or use or decline to use, any submitted stories in Lo City Enterprises, Inc.'s sole discretion.
