Lo City Erotic Contest Editors welcome you to our Erotic Video, Erotic Poetry, Erotic Story and Erotic Photo site. Our names are David, Darlene and Lily. Our various contest websites including Erotic Story Contest, Erotic Poetry Contests, Erotic Photo Contests and Erotic Video Contests are designed to offer aspiring artists of erotica an opportunity to break into erotic story telling, whether it be with sexual classic and beautiful photography, spirited and sexy fiction, lanquid and sensual poetry or the erotic seduction of the video and movie business.
When the Lo City Editors iniitially began talking about the format for our website we kicked around several business models, but nothing seemed quite right; until we created the monthly erotic contest system. The erotic contest format offers many benefits to Guild Members and regular contestants. First there is money. If you enter and win, there are sizeable monthly and annual cash prizes. Second there is the glory of being tapped as a winning entrant, and third there is the satisfaction of knowing you haven't been wasting your time all these years pumping our erotic stories, photography, films and poetry that no one seemed to be interested in. Well, the Lo City Erotic Contest Editors are interested. We want to encourage the best work from the best artists and by so doing promote erotic art and free expression.
As agent/brokers for our Guild Members the Erotic Contest System allows us to glean out the best products to submit to our publishers and video buyers. When Lo City presents your work to a media publisher it already has a pedigree. It has been reviewed by a panel of Judges, it has a proven audience and, if it was a contest winner, it has already seen publication in "Fallen Angel," our DVD magazine. In other words, it has legitimacy.
Why did we choose erotica as our speciality? Pretty simple, there is a great market out there for sex. The pendulum swings from steamy romance to hardcore porn. We encourage our erotic contestants to submit whatever erotic material they wish; as long as it is legal. All 2010 Erotic Contests are currently open. The Lo City Editors have international contacts that accept a wide range of erotic material so go ahead and create sexy stories, steamy poetry, hot sensual photographs and sexually oriented adult videos that first of all satisfy and make you happy and then thrill us by submitting your best work to one or more of our erotic contest sites. If it's great, it's going to get published!
The publishing business is currently experiencing a dramatic down turn in production. Many of the old familiar publishers are expected to fold in the next decade. A new world is emerging fueled by ebooks and the internet. Consequently most of the major publishing houses are playing it safe with only the big name experienced artists and writers. The movie and video makers are also playing it safe sticking with the best known names and faces. The art world is changing and we know that there is very little money for the creation of any type of erotic media. Publication and production is all about name recognition and predicatable success. No one wants to risk big money on the untried novice no matter how talented they might be. It seems to be easy to get published without compensation; but it is almost impossible to get your foot in the door with Steven King's publisher and actually pick up a check. Lo City publishers believe that with the backing of our brokerage firm you can get high paying assignments in the field of erotic art. If not, we hope that one day we can publish your work ourselves and pay you the money you deserve.
Lo City agrees to put 10% of our net income into a Scholarship Fund for Erotic Contest Guild Members. Although we here at Lo City Enterprises, Inc. feel that pure talent shines with its own light we also believe that education is the polish that makes the light glitter. With that bit of hyperbole said we are big supporters of education for education's sake. If you've read this far, maybe you would like to know something about us. Dave has been writing all of his life. He has made a living writing in-depth research papers for lawyers, newsletters for businesses, writing scripts for television, creating radio and TV commercials, porn movie scripts, blogging, free lance newspaper columnist, and most notably is knee deep writing the next great American novel, etc., etc. Recently he went to the doctor about his orange penis and he was told he either had to give up porn or Cheetos!
Darlene has also been writing all of her life. All of her teacher's told her she was "brilliant" at least that's what she tells us. Her background has been primarily in technical writing. She has written for a number of professional publications. She has also written several financial solution books, real estate investment guides, ebooks and articles. Darlene is currently working on her version of the next great American novel. Right now she has pulled off her headband, kicked off her Berkenstocks and is banging her head against the wall screaming something unintelligible about bad dogs and nasty men; or maybe it's something about nasty dogs and bad men.
The third member of the undauntable trio is Lily. Lily has never written a word. She did however graduate top of her class in eating, chewing, whining, running and general mischieviousness. Lily is a brindle boxer and she is the company mascot. Don't worry she won't be judging any contests. Lily's sole position with the company is comic relief. Lily manages to keep us laughing even when we should be crying. She is currently chewiing up her toys and spreading the debris around the office. Thank God for janitors.
The Judges are a rotating group of writers, proofreaders, teachers and generally twisted individuals. Their main claim to fame is their diverse craziness. Their wide range of degenerate attributes insures that all submissions will be judged obectively for both technical expertise and sexual content. Each of our esteemed judges, in addition to providing their skills to Lo City Enterprises, Inc. are also working second jobs so they can afford the subscriptions fees for the porn sites they surf. Only kidding. Our judges are all well read and well educated and will each bring a different perspective to the judging process.
We wanted to keep our introduction on the lighter side but we do have a serious side. We are totally devoted to paying out big cash prizes to aspiring writers, poets, photographers and videographers in our contests. Send us your best work and we will not only pay you big bucks in contest prize money but we will work hard to present your work in a great format. We are very proud of our concept DVD magazine "Fallen Angel" and hope that erotic enthusiasts everywhere will be waiting anxiously for each new issue.
